Twitterstorm as Floyd Mayweather Floors Kickboxer Half His Weight in 2 Minutes

Floyd Mayweather knocked down Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa three times inside the first round to win their one-off exhibition bout in Tokyo.

As for Mayweather - don't be surprised if he picks up another one of these easy pay day boxing matches in the new year.

Floyd Mayweather has pocketed $65,000 per second for a Round 1 TKO of Japanese MMA star Tenshin Nasakuwa, in a weird exhibition match that turned nasty on New Year's Eve at Saitama Super Arena. According to Helwani, if the numbers were correct, Mayweather earned $4.5 million a minute for the fight or $9 million total for the two-minute fight.

Speaking afterwards, Mayweather said: "It was all about entertainment".

Floyd Mayweather had his way with Tenshin Nasukawa during today's exhibition boxing bout at Rizin FF 14.

As Mayweather pummeled poor Nasukawa, the broadcasters sounded like the fight was something for the ages, gushing over how awesome Mayweather looked beating up a tiny opponent. Toyko, Japan - you guys are awesome - I want to say "Thank you".

Bragging about the pay-packet he'd be picking up on social media, Mayweather wrote: "What if I told you I was making $9,000,000 for 9 minutes of sparring in Tokyo Japan would you do the same if you were me?"

Mayweather said he had been "blindsided" into the contest by the organisers.

"Everyone, thank you again for this year".

Mayweather, who first retired in September 2015, stopped Ireland's McGregor in the 10th round in August 2017, and Muhammad Ali fought Japanese wrestler Antonio Inoki in a 15-round draw in 1976.

"I said, 'Why not?'". I am still retired. As you can see, the five-division world champion apparently has no inclinations to return to the ring for a legitimate bout. "He is a great fighter and a great champion". Well, when he's picked up a million dollars a minute, who can blame him?
