After the video went public, the Chiefs chose to send Hunt home.

Pursuant to the NFL's personal-conduct policy, a player placed on Commissioner Exempt List may, with the club's permission, be present at the club's facility on a reasonable basis for meetings, individual workouts, therapy and rehabilitation and other permitted non-football activities. He was not charged by prosecutors, but one police report listed Hunt as a suspect while another one listed Ottinger as a suspect. According to police reports, obtained by TMZ Sports, surveillance video from the hotel was obtained by law enforcement. The video shows an altercation between a woman and Hunt in a Cleveland hotel where Hunt was staying. She told police Hunt "shoved and pushed her" at around 3:45 a.m. Saturday when the two women did not leave the hallway. The Chiefs play at Oakland on Sunday, a game that Hunt will not be able to attend while on the exempt list.

The video begins with Hunt arguing with a 19-year-old woman outside of his hotel room. After friends try to hold back Hunt, he pushes one of them into Ottinger, causing both individuals to fall.

Both parties involved filed reports with the police and no charges were brought against either party. When asked to elaborate on the lessons he learned, he replied: "Just be in the right place at the right time".

Hunt, who led the NFL in rushing in 2017 as a rookie, is fifth in the league in rushing this season with 824 yards and is third in touchdowns with 14 (seven rushing and seven receiving). Kareem is a young man, second year in the league, obviously had a very big year on the field last year.
