The OnePlus 6T is Now Available for Purchase

There are two ways to buy the OnePlus 6T.

I was in New York City for the launch of the company's most ambitious model yet: the OnePlus 6T.

While the Chinese company was flaunting its latest OnePlus 6T, Xiaomi's sub-brand POCO took to Twitter and posted a string of tweets with a short video, promoting their POCO F1 offers real and better deal. Instead of the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, OnePlus has chose to embed the sensor inside the display on the OnePlus 6T, just like some of the recently launched Vivo, Oppo and Xiaomi phones. This is also the first phone from OnePlus to not come with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The OnePlus 6T isn't very different from the OnePlus 6 apart from the front design, the in-display fingerprint sensor and the bigger battery.

The unlocked 6T comes in both shiny and matte black glass versions. However, T-Mobile is only carrying one model, that being the Mirror Black variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for $579. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage which can be expandable via microSD card.

But with its popularity booming the latest 6T is now being sold via mobile retailers and United Kingdom networks.

This stunning new phone officially arrives in stores from November 6 with it offering flagship specs at a fraction of the cost of its Android rivals.

The software update schedule for the T-Mobile version is likely to be delayed compared to its unlocked cousin.

On Friday, OnePlus fans created history by unboxing 559 OnePlus 6T devices at the same time, at the same location.

Will OnePlus 6T software be updated on the T-Mobile version?

Previous OnePlus phones were only available online or at a pop-up shop. The bootloader can not be unlocked, so you're stuck with the official software, and updates will have to go through T-Mobile before they hit the phone. The phone can also be paid off early even if you elect to use the payment plan for the $300-off promo, and bill credits will continue to be received.
