New Macs and iPad Pro coming in October!

So to round out the rest of its 2018 gadget releases, Apple is holding another event on October 30 at the Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn, and invites have already started trickling out. We were disappointed that there was no showing of the new iPad Pro 2018 during the September event, nor any new Apple Mac computer or Apple AirPods 2.

Although there's no word on what will be officially announced at the event, invites have just been sent out with the words, "There's more in the making".

We'll have to wait and see what Apple has in store but it may not be the only new product revealed at the event. Device identifiers suggest that we're going to see the new iPad Pro models boast the same display resolution as the current lineup. It will stick with an LCD panel, rather than OLED, and could come with a USB-C port instead of a Lightning port.

The page simply says "Apple Special Event" followed by "Live from Brooklyn". There won't be a Home button to press, either, but Face ID should support landscape orientation to make unlocking the new tablet even easier.

The iPad Pro has a giant battery, and to me it's always seemed like a no-brainer for Apple to offer the ability to charge an iPhone using an iPad.

When Apple launched the iPad in 2010, it quickly became one of the company's most important products. Apple doesn't usually launch new products in NY, often opting for a venue closer to its home base in Cupertino, California. The iPhone XR, a lower-cost iPhone with a almost all-screen front, goes on sale on October 26.
