Maurizio Sarri: It will take a year for Chelsea to match Liverpool

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri says that he is satisfied with his side's goalless draw against West Ham United, despite seeing their ideal start to the season ended.

Maurizio Sarri has provided an injury update on both Antonio Rudger and Pedro ahead of a week where Chelsea play Liverpool twice.

"It was too slow, moving the ball to create the gaps or our movements without the ball, and that is why we couldn't score". We have started to work altogether 40 days ago and less time with the worldwide teams.

"I knew West Ham were a very good team and I don't know why they lost their first four matches".

"It's very hard to play in the Europa League, but more hard in March and April, not now", Sarri said. "Maybe a spectacular match but, for us, very hard". Then, I think that we have played very well. well in the second half, generally, but very well in the last 25 minutes. "So it's OK, one point, for today".

Spackman conceded it is a worry that Chelsea seem short of firepower upfront and does not believe Eden Hazard is capable of netting 40 goals in a season, as Sarri hinted at last week.

Despite spending much of the first half under pressure, West Ham actually crafted the better chances, but Michail Antonio - starting in place of the injured Marko Arnautovic - squandered two presentable opportunities.
