Kevin Spacey, Steven Seagal And Anthony Anderson Escape Sex Crimes Charges

Seagal - a Russian citizen who was named in August as the Kremlin's newest special envoy to the United States - has faced more than half a dozen allegations of sexual assault, including rape, over several decades.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office is declining to prosecute certain sex crime charges against Kevin Spacey, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He strongly denied the allegation.

The District Attorney's office also said it would not charge actor Steven Seagal and television comedy star Anthony Anderson over two other sexual assault accusations.

In a statement to PEOPLE, Anderson "unequivocally" disputed the woman's claims.

The case remains under review.

According to an L.A. County D.A. charge evaluation worksheet, "the reporting party alleged that in 1993, she was the victim of a sexual assault perpetrated by the suspect".

They say any alleged sex crime involving an adult that occurred in 1992 would fall outside of California's statute of limitations.

This isn't the first time Anthony has had such cases pinned against him.

Earlier this year, Regina Simons, an extra who appeared in Seagal's 1994 film On Deadly Ground, accused Seagal of rape after numerous women came forward with accounts of sexual misconduct.

Spacey's publicist in November said the two-time Oscar victor, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by more than a dozen men and boys, was "taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment".

The actor also is facing criminal investigation in the United States after an 18-year-old reported to authorities in November that the actor grabbed his genitals in a Nantucket, Massachusetts bar in 2016. Spacey apologized for any inappropriate conduct with Rapp but has not commented since and has stepped away from public life.

The allegations against Spacey saw him dropped from Netflix series House of Cards and replaced by another actor in All the Money in the World.
