Search continues for Iowa college student who went missing while jogging

Missing Iowa woman Mollie Tibbetts has not been seen for nearly a week since she went for a run on July 18, leaving family and loved ones desperate to find her. She was staying at her boyfriend, Dalton Jack's, house and watching his dogs when she went out for a run on Wednesday evening.

Tibbetts was reported missing on Thursday by relatives, Kriegel says.

"They are high school sweethearts and been together at least two years", Calderwood said.

Volunteers have been out searching for Tibbetts, but so far have found no trace of the student. She said that a home-to-home search that has already been conducted is expected to be repeated because many people were not home during the original canvas, likely because they were participating in the ground search. "She said Mollie had not called into work that day and she hadn't showed up, and then I looked at the messages and she hadn't opened or read the message", he said. Mollie wrapped up her freshman year at the University of Iowa, where she majors in Sociology, in the spring.

"We miss you. We're looking for you, and we will never stop", Calderwood said.

"Everything's on the table, unfortunately", Poweshiek County Sheriff Thomas Kriegel told local TV station KCCI. "She likes to go whenever the sun's not down, but it's starting cool off, like 6 or 7", Jack said. "I pray for her family and for her that she makes it home safely", one friend wrote on Facebook. "We're surrounded by farm ground - corn and soy beans". Crews have searched every road, every ditch and every body of water near town, the sheriff said. Authorities have also searched the area by helicopter to no avail. "We don't know if she disappeared out jogging, we don't know if she disappeared from her home". However, with the extremely rural terrain, full of corn rows, it has not been easy.
