George Clooney Taken to Hospital After Accident

George was riding Tuesday morning on the Italian island of Sardinia when the vehicle turned in front of him and reportedly hit him.

The John Paul II hospital in Olbia said Clooney was released on Tuesday. Wife Amal Clooney, a high-profile human rights lawyer, quickly came to the hospital and the actor was soon discharged, with his condition according to People deemed "not serious".

Clooney is a Northern Kentucky native.

According to Mannoni, the accident took place at 8:15 a.m. local time on the SS125, a street in the area of Olbia-Murta Maria.

An NBC News video segment said Clooney fell onto the hood of the auto. George Clooney is almost 60 years old, but he must be built like a soldier.

Pictures of the crash site showed the Mercedes with a smashed windscreen and with the bike lying on the ground as the star was treated for his injuries. He is recovering at home and will be fine, ' one rep told E!
