Two Nepali Sherpas break their own world records on Everest

On Wednesday, a pair of veteran Sherpas each set a record for Mount Everest climbs.

Sherpa succeeded to break the record of 21 ascents of Everest set by Apa Sherpa and Phurba Tashi Sherpa, both of whom have already announced their retirement.

He made his first ascent of the Everest in 1994 when he was 24 years old.

The United States-based climber has repeatedly broken her own record for the most Everest summits by a woman.

Climbing from the Chinese side of the mountain, Sherpa's trip the summit extended her own women's record.
