Torino Hold Napoli For Juventus

Napoli's Serie A title hopes were virtually ended after they were held to a 2-2 draw with Torino on Sunday afternoon.

The Bianconeri beat Bologna 3-1 on Saturday to increase their lead at the summit to seven points with two games to go and the Partenopei could only reduce the gap by one point.

As the teams are level on their head-to-head record, goal difference would decide the winners if they finished with equal points, and Juve are now 16 goals better off than Napoli.

Napoli's last win was against Juventus in Turin two weeks ago.

The visiting Torino responded through Daniele who leveled the score before the visitor's substitute Marek Hamsik restored Napoli's advantage with a shot from outside the area. The two sides have the same head-to-head record - which is the next deciding factor - but Juventus has a significantly better goal difference.

Roma broke two points clear of Lazio in third thanks to Turkish worldwide forward Cengiz Under's 15th minute strike in a 1-0 win which saw Cagliari slip into the bottom three.

Teenage star Musa Barrow gave Atalanta the lead with less than two minutes on the clock but Felipe Caicedo leveled in the 24th, thanks to great work from Luis Alberto.

Inter assured fifth place and seal at least Europa League action next season.
