Motorola Announced 6 New Smartphones in the G6 and E5 Series

The Moto G6 could have kept its unique features and still gotten timely updates with Android One.

Motorola finally took the wraps off the Moto G6 and Moto E5 series at an event in Brazil Thursday, putting an end to all the rumors and speculations about the budget smartphones in recent weeks. It features a combination of 12 Megapixel + 5 Megapixel of sensors at the back panel.

These are the specifications of all the new six devices announced by Motorola.

Since Moto G6 Plus is the high-end variant, it sports the Snapdragon 630 clocked at 2.2GHz.

In contrast, Xiaomi's Redmi 5 smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 450 SoC paired with 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB storage.

Moto G6 is the downgraded version of the bigger G6 Plus. Moto G6 puts emphasis on a new design with 3D glass on the G6 and G6 Plus variants. The Moto G6 also has a fingerprint scanner embedded on the front. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 425 processor which actually joined with the 2GB of RAM and 16GB of stretchy storage. In case of Moto G6 Plus, both the 4GB and 6GB of RAM models will ship with 64GB of internal storage.

Storage: 32GB/64GB variants, expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.

Motorola Moto G6 features a 5.7-inch full HD IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 424ppi pixel density.

The device has gotten hold of a trendy 18:9 aspect ratio and a massive 6-inch HD+ screen.

Camera: 12MP rear camera with LED Flash, Dual Autofocus Pixel technology, f/1.7 aperture, 1.4um pixel size, 5MP secondary rear camera and 8MP front-facing camera with LED flash.

Surprisingly the E5 Plus sounds like a better option than if you compare it with the Moto G6 Play. The device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

The Moto G6 Plus comes with a 3,200mAh battery with 15W TurboCharging support via USB Type-C port.

There is a 2800 mAh battery is in the phone. The phone is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery, which can last up to 36 hours on a single charge - according to company's claims. The Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus include a USB Type-C port, while the Moto G6 Play comes with standard micro-USB port.

For the Moto G6, the firm has kept the fingerprint scanner on the front despite the tall screen, and even the Motorola logo too. The front camera is 5MP but is accompanied with an LED flash. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel camera.

All the devices come with p2i water-repellent coating which keeps your device safe from water splashes. There will also be a Moto E, but it will not be available in the US. Starting next week the smartphones will be available in Mexico and various Asia Pacific countries including India. The Moto G6 phones may look the same at first glance but they are very much different in many aspects. While the Moto G6 Play will start at $249 (roughly Rs 16,435) and the Moto G6 Plus will meanwhile start at 299 Euros (roughly Rs 24,300).
