Blue Ivy Carter bids at art auction

Blue Ivy Carter bids at art auction

The 2018 Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles was organised by Bey's mother Tina Knowles and her husband Richard Lawson to raise money for a non-profit art and performance complex.

Starting off with her first bid at AU $22,000 (US $17,000), Blue Ivy was just getting warmed up when she lifted her paddle again and her famous rapper dad jokingly tried to stop her from any further bids.

Blue offered a cool $19,000 for a portrait of Sidney Poitier at the Saturday night event, only to be outbid by Tyler Perry for the piece.

"Let me tell you, her mother and father have been talking about how you gather art", the auctioneer added.

Blue Ivy Carter is a tastemaker in her own right!

It's unclear whether Blue Ivy actually won the bid on the piece - goodness knows Jay and Bay can afford it if she did - but that's TRULY high rolling by the adorable six-year-old! Beyonce and Blue Ivy matched in gold ensembles, with the latter rocking a gold headpiece. The 6-year-old was seemingly impressed with one piece of art during the auction and proceeded to bid off $19,000 while continuously raising her family's paddle.

The magazine said Beyoncé also made a winning bid of $17,000 on a set of Lorraine Schwartz panther earrings that she had previously worn to an event.

The gala honored Beyoncé for her humanitarian work, and she gave an emotional speech as she accepted the award.

Beyonce, her younger sister Solange Knowles, their stepsister actress Bianca Lawson and Jay Z's mother Gloria Carter were among those celebrated. The duo rocked matching gowns that slayed the "From WACO to Wakanda" theme.
