Porn star Stormy Daniels' lawyer says she had affair with Donald Trump

Donald Trump is being sued by a former porn star who claims a non-disclosure agreement barring her from discussing an alleged sexual encounter is void because he did not sign it.

Instead, just Daniels and Cohen allegedly signed the non-disclosure agreement on October 28, 2016, the lawsuit said. He said on NBC there was "no question" Trump knew about the agreement, though he did not offer any proof.

Clifford alleges that she began an "intimate relationship" with Trump in 2006 and that it continued "well into the year 2007", according to the lawsuit.

"We intend to pursue our recourse in the context of arbitration as agreed to by the parties and continue to categorically refute the claims alleged by Ms. Clifford and her counsel", Rosen said in a statement to Fox News.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Wednesday that Trump has already won the case through private arbitration, adding that the allegations were untrue. "I think it's time for her to tell her story and for the public to decide who's telling the truth". Trump married his current wife, Melania Trump, in 2005.

Previously, through a lawyer, Clifford denied the two had an affair, but Avenatti said Wednesday that was to meet the terms of the nondisclosure agreement.

Cohen then reportedly obtained a temporary restraining order against Daniels, which barred her from disclosing "confidential information" related to the nondisclosure agreement signed in October 2016. As part of the agreement, Trump's personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, has said he paid Clifford $130,000 just 12 days before the 2016 presidential election. "The designated judge from the arbitration tribunal found that Ms. Clifford had violated the agreement and enjoined her from, among other things, filing this lawsuit". The lines where Trump was expected to sign (under the pseudonym David Dennison) were indeed left blank.

"Put simply, considerable steps have been taken by Mr. Cohen in the last week to silence Ms. Clifford through the use of an improper and procedurally defective arbitration proceeding hidden from public view", the suit argues.
