Kim Cattrall Blasts 'Hypocrite' Sarah Jessica Parker For 'Exploiting' Her Brother's Death

Kim Cattrall has rejected all condolences from her Sex and the City costar, Sarah Jessica Parker, slamming her on Instagram, writing: "You are not my family".

Not holding anything back, Cattrall added, "Let me make this VERY clear. You are not my friend", Cattrall continued.

On February 6, she made another post, writing, "I would like to thank my fans, friends, and my #SexandtheCity colleagues for the outpouring of support for myself and family over the last 72 hours".

Cattrall's brother Christopher went missing in late January and was later confirmed dead.

A spokesperson for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said there was no reason to believe there was anything suspicious in the death.

Cattrall and Parker starred on the hit show "Sex and the City" from 1998 to 2004 and the comedy led to two spin-off movies - one in 2008 and a second in 2010. The 52-year-old wrote: "Dearest Kim, my love and condolences to you and yours and Godspeed to your beloved brother. Xx".

When the TV series began in 1998, Parker was already friends with Cynthia Nixon, who played one of her 3 "best friends" as they bounced through their Manhattan adventures.

Cattrall was likely referring to the recent death of her brother Chris, which Parker discussed during the Paley Centre for Media's An Evening With the Cast of Divorce in New York City Thursday.

Cattrall made it clear she doesn't want Parker's sympathy, however, responding with a scathing statement on Instagram.

On screen, Cattrall and Parker - along with Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon - portrayed best friends navigating their 30s (or, in Cattrall's case, her early 40s) while pursuing careers, romance and an endless parade of brunches in NY.

"There is so much humor and amusing stuff to mine within the troubles of a volatile marriage or rollercoaster relationship", she told Page Six.

"And this is really where I take to task the people from Sex and the City and specifically Sarah Jessica Parker in that I think she could have been nicer.I really think she could have been nicer". Sarah Jessica, she could have been nicer, she could have in some way. "I don't know what her issue is".
